About ACD Verification
The ACD is a third-party organization that promotes stewardship and professionalism in the chemical management industry. Responsible Distribution
Since 1991, the ACD has operated and maintained the Responsible Distribution program, making it mandatory for ACD members. Responsible Distribution reinforces ACD members’ commitment to safety, security, health, and the environment. ACD members must not only practice safe hazardous materials storage and transportation practices, they must be proactive members of their community, teaching other businesses and their communities about the importance of safety measures. The benefits of compliance with Responsible Distribution include fewer accidents with hazardous materials, lower insurance costs, increased market visibility, and more open communications with the community.
How OctoChem Honors the Principles of Responsible Distribution
OctoChem is proud to be an ACD partner. Our mission statement – emphasizing the importance of continual improvement for the sake of our clients and our community – echo the motivation of the ACD. We frequently seek ways to improve our processes, our facilities, and our workforce. One current demonstration of our drive to improve is our fourth warehouse expansion in Vandalia. When the expansion is complete, our facilities will have an additional 60,000 square feet of warehousing facilities. This expansion also demonstrates our commitment to environmentally-friendly practices by installing heated floors and motion-activated LED lights, both of which will dramatically reduce our facilities’ energy consumption.
OctoChem offers a variety of third-party logistics services – including hazardous materials storage – to clients in the United States. We focus primarily on industries and clients that handle and sell chemicals and similar goods.
